Mountainview is home to about 880 students and 100 faculty and staff. We have both a rigorous academic curriculum as well as a civic focus for our students. Through out Peer Academic and Social Empowerment (PASE) programs, students have the ability to participate in many Civic Learning and Leadership opportunities. From Student Service and Student Valet, to our inclusion programs of Peer Mentoring and Circle of Friends, our students learn the importance and value of providing service to others. In addition, we are lucky to have an active parent community who support us through their membership and involvement with PTA, volunteering in the classroom, and helping their children practice new skills each night with homework. Our School Board of Trustees and our District Superintendents provide much appreciated leadership and support.
We have a proud tradition of achievement: We were founded in 1994, and received the California Distinguished School award in 1997, 2002, and 2008. We were designated a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2004 and were awarded the Gold Ribbon Award in 2015.
Every member of our staff is committed to working in partnership with our parents to provide the highest quality education, while “Developing the Hearts and Minds of Each Child”.
We invite you to join us in our task, and celebrate our successes with us. Our door is always open to you!
